Hello, my name is Lind Stevens.
I coach individuals who have Attention Deficit Disorder, with or without Hyperactivity, who want to manage their ADD and construct a lifestyle that works for them instead of against them. These individuals are willing to look at the challenges and difficulties ADD brings into their lives, along with their talents and goodness, in order to create a more balanced view of themselves and a more satisfying and productive life.

Professional Background
I am a graduate of The Optimal Functioning Institute, an ADD coach training program. I have been coaching since 2000.
I have continued my professional education by attending seminars, reading current literature, and interacting with other professionals in the field of coaching and ADD. I also hosted a local support group for a couple of years in my local area and have presented several workshops.
I also graduated in 1977 from Louisiana State University Medical Center, New Orleans, with a B.S. in Occupational Therapy. I am currently certified and licensed to practice Occupational Therapy in the state of Maryland. The majority of my work as an OT was in adult rehabilitation.
I believe that my background in Occupational Therapy adds value to my role as an ADD Coach. As an OT, I am trained to see the ' whole' person by acknowledging the many facets that make up a person such as one's values, life history, culture, social roles, and physical and mental capabilities, not to mention the importance of one's desires, motivation, and goals. As an OT, I am highly trained in task analysis, which is a highly individualized process that is used to analyze where the performance breaks down and to develop strategies or remediation, when possible, that would allow for successful completion of the task.
In addition to my work as an OT, I was an at home mom for 13 years while my four children were very young. I have included this under Professional Experience because of the many skills it takes to be a mother and run a household and because of the many life experiences it has given me.
